Hey Thrashers!

Hope you have had some sweet and relaxing holidays…we surely did!

Our last show for 2010 at Leer’s Winter Metal Meeting some days ago went down smoothly, so thanks to everyone who came out to see us on that incredibly cold evening!

Sadly, that show also marked the last gig for our rhythm guitarist Martin Walczak with DEW-SCENTED…

Some while ago, Martin decided to leave the band due to changes in his personal life and lack of availability to move forwards with music at this stage. It’s a shame to see him go but we certainly wish Martin all the very best with his next goals and tasks in life! Thanks for the good times, Mattin!

We already have a friend of the band lined up as session guitarist for the European tour with Nile starting out late January, so no reason to be worried at all…and we will give you more details about this in the coming days! This tour will see DEW-SCENTED actually debut in some of the scheduled cities / countries and since we will not be playing much live afterwards in 2011 (only some selected festivals…), it will be a great opportunity for you to enjoy some deadly dose of „Invocation“! As you will all probably already know, Thrash Metal is best experienced alive, so see you there!!!

It’s freezing cold over here right now…holy shit!

We just wanted to check in briefly to thank everyone who came out to support us on the recent 8 shows with Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying and Suicide Silence! It was a blast to play in front of so many new faces, probably making it the biggest in-door shows we ever played in Germany, as all of the shows were completely packed if not sold out at capacity of venues between 1400 and 2000 people! Wow…

We wanna thank our longtime friends in HSB for the great time and the killer treatment! Good to see you guys doing so well – You truly deserve it! Also thanks to MLK for having us as well as to As I Lay Dying and Suicide Silence for the cool time spent together on the road! Let’s do it again…

Special thanks again to Guerilla’s Martin Below for pounding the drums on the first leg of the tour for DEW-SCENTED! As you will have noticed, Marc-Andree is back on board at last now (He played the shows in Hamburg and Leipzig again with us…), after his injury has healed well enough to return to gently torture his newly acquired Mapex drumkit! Back from Mini-Tour; Supporting Heaven Shall Burn / As I Lay Dying / Suicide Silence in Germany this month; European tour with Nile announced for January – February 2011!

We are back from a mini-tour which saw us playing 10 shows in Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany! It was a cool run of dates and we would like to thank everyone who came out to see us as well as the new friends we made along the way! We would especially like to greet and thank our “crew companions” Klaus, Bomber and Josi for spending time on the road with us as well as all the other bands we shared stages with!

Most of all, we would like to thank Martin Below (from the band Guerilla, www.myspace.com/guerrilla666 and www.guerrilla-metal.com) for helping us out as drummer on these shows, since Marc-Andree’s injury still hasn’t healed completely. Here is a cool pic of the band shot by Bomber in the mountains after our last Italian date in Sondrio, on the way to Vienna, Austria.

Next up this month of November, we will be supporting our friends Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying and Suicide Silence on the German dates of their large European tour. The Stuttgart show has already sold out and also Berlin had a recent venue upgrade (New location: Astra), so make sure to a) get your tickets quickly while supplies last and b) show up early in order not to miss our set, as we are playing first on! Furthermore, Dew-Scented have just been confirmed to be touring with Nile, Melechesh, Zonaria and Darkrise all over Europe in January – February of 2011 on the “Those Whom The Gods Detest Tour 2011 Part 2”. The run will last for about 4 weeks and cover central European countries as well as some Eastern territories (some of which we in fact never ever before visited!) and also UK/Ireland at last again. We toured successfully with Nile in 2003 and look forward to be teaming up with them and the other bands on this stylistically colourful and highly interesting package for all supporters of extreme Metal!

After quite some effort and workload behind closed doors, Polish label Metal Mind has announced the exclusive and official re-release of DEW-SCENTED’s 7 first studio albums originally released between 1996 and 2007.

We have been happy to co-operate and fully participate in this re-issue project by assembling several bonus tracks (all corresponding songs for each recording session!) as well as finalizing upgraded layouts and lengthy liner-notes for the following DEW-SCENTED releases:

“Immortelle” + 6 bonus tracks
“Ill-Natured & Innoscent” (Both albums on one CD!)
“Inwards” + 1 bonus track
“Impact” + 4 bonus tracks
“Issue VI” + 2 bonus tracks & 1 bonus video clip enhancement
“Incinerate” + 3 bonus tracks & 1 bonus video clip enhancement

All albums will come out as 6-panel Digipak-CD and in a special edition of 2000 numbered copies.

And yeah, you read it right….even “Immortelle” will be re-issued! That’s the very first Dew Scented album that originally came out on SteamHammer/SPV in 1996 and that has been out of print for several years already…and since DEW-SCENTED got the rights back to it some while ago, we thought why not add it to this string of re-issues!? The debut’s re-release will by the way include the full “Symbolization” demo tape as bonus and some alternate artwork design, as we were never really happy with the front cover version used originally…

The European release date for all albums is October 11th, 2010 (so yeah, out now!!!) and the albums will be available as well in the USA as of December 7th, 2010 (Distribution via MVD). European distribution for these releases is handled by companies like Plastic Head Distribution (in UK), Soulfood (in Germany), Bertus (in The Netherlands), Andromeda (in Italy), Goi (in Spain), Indie Distribution (in Norway), Firebox (in Finland), Season of Mist (in France) and many others.
