DEW-SCENTED show at Elsrock festival this weekend cancelled!

August 26th, 2010

Hey Thrashers,

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at Summer Breeze! What a killer festival!

Unfortunately, being at Summer Breeze the day after our show, our drummer Marc-Andree injured his thumb/hand so badly that he had to get immediately checked at the hospital. The result was a cast and the medical order to remain quiet for a couple of weeks. Sadly this means that we have had to cancel our appearance at coming Saturday’s Elsrock festival in The Netherlands! Our apologies to the team organizing the event as well as to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us! We hope to make up for this by playing in 2011 instead?!

Anyhow, Dutch Death Metallers Toxocara will be replacing us and you should make sure to head out to the festival nevertheless (also from Germany, as it’s super close to the border…) as this year’s sweet line-up includes Hypocrisy, Napalm Death, Agnostic Front, Lizzy Borden, Pestilence, Dream Evil, Onslaught, Hail Of Bullets and more.

We are in the meantime hoping that Marc-Andree will make a speedy recovery so we can play the next confirmed festival shows at Turock and Mehsuff in September! We will keep out fingers crossed…well, not Marc obviously! ;-)

And while speaking of the Turock festival: What an amazing final line-up for September 10th (the day we are set to perform!) and 11th! And it’s all FOR FREE, so don’t miss out!

Be well,

Shows with As I Lay Dying, Heaven Shall Burn and Suicide Silence announced!!!

August 16th, 2010

Hey everyone…

With this year’s Summer festival madness soon to be completed, we wanted to briefly check in with some update on how things are going…

Actually we had a great time at the Eisenwahn and Baden In Blut festivals at the end of July and especially the recent show at Wacken Open Air 2010 was a really memorable one. We played Wacken with DEW-SCENTED for the third time and it was probably our best so far! Despite the early stage-time, it was awesome to see so many people coming over to check us out and it especially ruled that it was such an international crowd! It was awesome to be part of such a large and well organized festival and we look forward to doing it again one day!

The good news of the day is that we just got confirmation for DEW-SCENTED to have been added to the upcoming tour of Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying and Suicide Silence for the German shows in November. This will be quite a big tour and a really heavy package, so we are definitely looking forward to adding our slab of Thrash Metal into the mix and to make some new friends out there on the road. Here are all the final dates:

Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying, Suicide Silence, Dew-Scented
Presented by Metal Hammer (Germany)

SU 07.11. Nürnberg (Germany) – Löwensaal
TH 11.11. München (Germany) – Tonhalle
FR 12.11. Köln (Germany) – E-Werk
SA 13.11. Stuttgart (Germany) – Longhorn LKA
SU 14.11. Münster (Germany) – Skaters Palace
MO 15.11. Berlin (Germany) – C-Club
MO 22.11. Hamburg (Germany) – Große Freiheit 36
TU 23.11. Leipzig (Germany) – Werk 2
Booking www.mlk.com

In related news, we are still waiting for some few last details for the October headlining tour in Italy and should be ready to announce those dates in the coming days at last!

In the meantime, we are also spending some time working on liner notes and upgraded layouts for some re-releases of DEW-SCENTED back-catalogue albums, which should street by the end of the Summer. Look out for more details soon…

Next up: Summer Breeze Festival (Germany) on Thursday (!), August 19th and then Elsrock Festival (The Netherlands) on Saturday, August 28th. Look out!

Take care and keep it heavy…
